Complaint Details
The Color marathon India is a “for profit’ company that hosts 5km marathons. The company was to organize a 5km marathon in Mumbai to be held on 3rd July’ 2016 to create awareness on the cause “Cardiac Disease in Children” and help in establishment of full-fledged department for cardiac surgeries for underprivileged children at the Hospital through proceeds of the event.(as per their website)

The website states schedule of events to be held statewise. The company charged Rs 600/- per person for hosting the event and providing event gear.
On 26th June, I had registered with the website of Color Marathon India (http://thecolormarathonindia.com) for hosting a marathon in Mumbai on 3rd July'2016. Details of registration are enclosed. On registration we were given a confirmation by email and via sms along with details of the marathon.
However, the event was not held on scheduled date and no intimation of given for the same (Neither by mail or call or sms on website). Further, over the website the event was postponed to 21st August, 2016 as per their website. However some of us received sms stating the event was cancelled due to expected bad weather (supporting attached). It also stated money will be refunded within few days. Few of us have received a text message from the company that we should initiate refund by emailing our bank account details to them. However, there is no official email communication or call or sms for the same. To add to our worries when we tried to contact we didn’t receive any response from their side.
We would appreciate if you could do the needful in obtaining our money back. Also we urge you to take strict actions against them for syphoning with money in the name of helping people with life threatening disease
