Complaint Details
I purchased online from Eureka Forbes their most advanced water purifier DR. AQUAGUARD GENEUS + for INR 22,990 on 11/14/2015. My Eureka Forbes Consumer ID is 8000064337.
Since day one their product and service quality has been unacceptable and caused enough of harassment. Their negligence has deprived us from having access to clean and safe water even after spending such large sum of money.
Since day 1 of installation by Eureka Forbes, the unit was malfunctioning which their technicians had no clue about. Immediately after installation the unit was found to be leaking which took too long to get addressed. I asked them to have it replaced since it was a faulty product from day one and they refused.
After few months the unit started dispensing visible dirty water with dead ants and some micro fiber like substance for which again complaint was logged and which they failed to resolve. When asked to guarantee about cleanliness of water, free from any foreign particle or chemicals they didn't respond.
When the machine was opened by their technicians its storage tank was dirty and filled with dead ants. It was the same water we have been drinking for long until we started witnessing dead ants and foreign particle being dispensed by the machine. My 1 year old had also been falling sick perhaps due to use of such dirty water. Eureka Forbes didn't test the water for its cleanliness and whether it was safe to use, despite repeated complaints which went unheard and were not responded.
This time I asked them to take back the machine and for refund of amount I paid as the risk had become very evident using water from the machine. Its 5 months since I have been asking for that and all I have from Eureka Forbes executive, Anand (Mobile No. 9819356185) is false assurance that the matter is escalated and the refund is under process. When asked for giving the escalation point of contact, the contact Anand provided in the name of his Zonal Manager Prashant (Mobile No. 7045830858), is continuously unresponsive.
We have to mostly buy water from outside for our child as we are not sure about cleanliness of the water. Have been using machine water mostly for our cooking needs until the machine fully broke couple of days back. Now the machine doesn't work at all. It starts overflowing water from everywhere the moment it is turned on. This is again a huge risk if the water seeps into machine electricals causing fire and other safety hazards.
Despite escalating the concern again there has been no response or complaint logged from Eureka Forbes end. Now we have to buy over 10 liters of water everyday while the machine is just hanging in the kitchen and Eureka Forbes and its executives not responding to our concerns and demand for refund.
Such is the fate of consumer rights in our country and companies like Eureka Forbes take undue advantage of it, knowing nothing can touch them and they continue cheating and harassing consumers. It is a helpless situation that even after spending so much of money we can't even have clean/safe water bearing no risk to health and have to buy water from outside.
The only two complaint numbers provided to us thus far by Eureka Forbes are 86675993 and 86765824, for which we don’t know the status.
Request your intervention to take it further in the interest of wider consumer community and help us get our refund of INR 22,990.
