Dear Sir,

This is to bring to your kind notice that I am Surendranatha Reddy TV residing in Goregaon East - Mumbai, got trapped & cheated by Tarun Varma – the owner of Rising Star Productions.

In order to explain you the complete scenario I am writing this in a very detailed way and request you to buy some time and go through it and understand how I have been cheated by Tarun Varma.

In Oct’15, I have found an advertisement in Quickr posted by Rising Star Productions. They wanted kids to act in their ad films. My son was 10 months old. I have shared his pics over whatsapp to the given contact number provided in the advertisement on Quickr web site.

After couple of days, I have received a call from “Tarun Varma”. He asked me to meet him at his office in Malad West. When I asked him about registration changes and any other charges, he has confirmed that “I don’t need a single paisa, I just need your baby for my shoot”. Below is his office address.

After I have met him at his office for the first time, he has confirmed / promised the below.

• Congratulations, your son photo is selected for our next ad film with a super star (not mentioned the name of super star and he said “as of now, its confidential and you will come to know the super start on shoot date”
• We will pay the flight charges for the baby and one parent (mother), but you will have to pay the flight charges of another parent (father). I have agreed to it.
• There are total 3 shoots on 3 weekends
• We will pay you 80,000 rupees for one photo shoot
• We will pay 75,000 per shoot (per weekend), total 3 shoots 75,000 X 3 = 2,25,000 rupees (that was his promise)
• He has asked me to sign on his company agreement paper, which was blank. Dates, payment or any other information was not mentioned. He told me “you just sign here, I will update it with details and deliver it to your home address”. Till date, I have not received that agreement.
• He has taken 40,000 rupees from me for flight charges and confirmed the dates for first three shoots. He also told me I will give you the remaining dates for the remaining shoots with in a week’s time.

After couple of days again he asked me to meet him at his office. After I met him he has confirmed that, “no, its not 3 shoots, its now 6 shoots”. Hence you will get 75,000 X 6 = 4,50,000 rupees total for the project. But, you will have to pay for the flight charges for the remaining 3 shoots (I had already paid for first 3 shoots)

• He has charged total of 86,000 rupees for flight charges for total 6 shoots
• He has postponed the dates / shoots with some strange reasons and given different dates. (after taken the money for flight charges)

He again called me to his office and offered me one more adds film (second project) will be produced by “Silver line productions”. He has again charged 50,000 rupees for the flight tickets for one parent (father) for this second project.

• He has promised 3 shoots on three week ends
• 3 lack rupees per shoot
• He has promised 1 lack rupees as advance before the shoot happens (before 1st Jan’16). But not received till date.
• He has also promised an agreement with sliver line about the project, but not received till date.
• Total of 3,00,000 X 3 = 9,00,000 rupees for three shoots. (for the second project, I have not received a single paisa till date)
• He has also confirmed the dates for the first shoot of second project (1st, 2nd and 3rd January 2016)

Whenever the given dates approached, he has kept on postponed the dates and this has occurred 6 times. Total 6 times, he has postponed the dates for the shoot and given new dates. Even today, he is still trying to fool me like every time.

After couple of weeks, photo shoot happened at his office, but not got a single paisa. Earlier, he has promised 80,000 rupees for the photo shoot (while taking money from me).

Tarun Varma has charged total of 1,36,000 rupees for flight charges for first and second project together. Total of 9 shoots and the total worth is 4,50,000 + 9,00,000 + 80,000 = 14,30,000 rupees. He has promised this amount for both the projects together.

Till date (10th October 2016) no add file shoot happened as per his earlier promises. Not even received a single paisa. Not even my own hard earn money that he has taken from me for the flight tickets.

Now, I realized that he is cheating on me since Oct’15 and he is not ready to return money my 1,36,000 rupees. After 1000 (thousand) follow ups he has given me approximately 45,000 rupees and still 86,000 is due as of today (1st Novt’16). He is just making some stories and telling lies every time when I ask him to return my own money.

Let me explain the difficult situation my family has experienced because of Tarun Varma

• I have mortgaged my wife’s gold chain in HDFC bank and given money to Tarun Varma. I have attached the slip provided by bank.
• I have used my credit card to with draw money and paid to Tarun. Till now, I have been paying 3.5% interest for that money.
• I have also begged my friends and barrowed money from them and paid to Tarun.
• Since Tarun has promised two project worth of 14,30,000 rupees. I have not tried out side for my son to get any other opportunity. Now, he has wasted 1 year from the precious childhood age of my son.
• Otherwise, I would have tried outside and would have got other opportunities. Because of Tarun, we have lost 1 year precious time.
• I met with a minor accident on 26th Sept’16, and shared the pics with Tarun. I have requested Tarun to transfer 5000 immediately as I did not have a single rupee in my pocket, not even in my account and I had to go to hospital. He has promised that he will transfer money immediately, but not transferred. I have attached the bank statement for your reference.
• There are many situations like this. All this is just because of an opportunist TARUN VARMA and his so called organization RISING STAR PRODUCTIONS.
• When he has taken money he did not give me more than 2 or 3 days, some times he had demanded the money on the same day. Now, it’s been almost a year and he did not return on own hard earn money.

I sincerely requesting you to help me to get my hard earn money 80,000 rupees. An early action will be highly appreciated.
