Complaint Details
1) I had purchased a ticket and traveled on Jet Airways flight from Delhi to Indore ( Flight no- 9W 793, travel date 22nd May 2016).
2) Quoting the Airlines rules, I was asked to check in my new brand umbrella that I had purchased from Nainital, worth Rs 650 in to my check in baggage stating that I cannot carry the same in hand baggage. I had duly checked in the umbrella in the check in baggage.
3) The same was reported missing on arrival in Indore on 22nd may 2016. The copy of the report is attached. I was informed that the process to identify the baggage would take two weeks. I had waited for two weeks and then continued to ask for feedback on the issue. unfortunately i did not get any response. I kept calling the duty cell ( 8819009009) but no one picked it up or ever calls back. I had also sent a email in July and since then my follow ups have not been responded. This, I believe is a serious deficiency in the service. My complaint has not been addressed for close to 5 months, where as I was informed that it will be resolved within 2 weeks. This is a serious deficiency.
4) We had tried our best to resolve this issue and get a feedback from the airlines since June. Attached email will provide the proof that the details were sent to the airlines in July. We had made numerous calls to the duty cell that were either not responded to or we were told to call back later. This whole has costed us money and time to follow up.
5) The issue was brought in the notice of the company by the passenger grievance cell of DGCA.
6) Inspite of all the efforts, we are unable to get jet airways take cognizance of the matter.
