Complaint Details
After the vision of digital india and the subsequent digitalisation of Cable Tv networks now the channels exercise more monopoly over the consumers who have no other options like in the old days to switch to other opearators to subscribe more channels. For example the broadcast of English Premier League football by star networks will solely be telecast on HD channels which is absolutely not affordable for the majority of the country. Now since there are not many people are followers of English football the problem doesnt seem grave. However if kept unchecked these very networks will switch everything to these high cost HD channels which just about 5-7% of the country's population can afford. I hope this problem is checked at the very beginning with your help and nipped in the bud because as a low level consumer I feel this is unfair to me and is being done because i dont have options.
