Dear Sir,
This is to bring to your notice that when i used my debit card at SBI POS machine installed at Garun Super Bazar Buddha nagar tiraha, gorakhpur uttar pradesh, the seller has charged 1.5% extra stating that it is charge to be taken for swiping at the retail outlet imposed by bank on customers using it. However as far as i know it can`t be charged to customer as this is between merchant and POS service provider. Attached is the bill and SBI POS transaction slip. Also, attaching RBI circular and SBI POS circular available on their websites. On inquiring from by HDFC Bank they informed that merchants pass the POS charges to customers by showing some discount on MRP bill. I feel cheated in the case if they had to charge it they should make it clear to customer before offering products on sale and not use the loophole of discount passing to avoid legal action. Request your intervention as this will loot common public for no reason in this financial uncertainty ( Rs 500 & 1000 old notes being banned).
