Chronicles of misery with #VodafoneIndia.

I have been absolutely displeased with your service in the last 1 year. There has been a major network issue in my locality.

Despite filing complaints and receiving false promises from your agents no 'SO CALLED TECHNICAL PERSON' visited and no solution was offered.

Lately my bill has been exorbitant, I had applied an 899 plan with 3 G data, however I never received any 3G service in the last 6 months and the bill maintained to be excessive which was never below 1000 INR. Even if this is genuine, its only because in the failure of your service reception, the data usage was over pushed (this is likely to happen, yet I dont believe was the case either).

I contacted your agents at the customer care and was asked to change the hand since the issue was not with YOUR NETWORK SERVICE but was with my handset. I had to spend a whooping 25k to change my handset, yet the issue persisted.

Surprisingly, not just me, rather every one in my family and the few neighbors that I discussed with, who were loyal customers of VODAFONE since 10 yrs. are facing the same.

I recently, after being assured, that Airtel promises to provide way better service in way cheaper cost, decided to port my number. Yet again your service denied my porting request on the ground that my bill was unpaid.

Certainly yes, it was unpaid since the bill is unworthy of my usage I get an emergency signal all through the year and my bill comes for a 3G usage.

I yet again called your customer service to discuss the issue and was assured assistance after being on the call or over 20 mins (just so you know I am a working lawyer and have no time to be kept on hold and perhaps listen to the IVR). Nothing happened.

I finally lost my patience to fight with your service, decided to make the payment due online. Surprisingly my current bill shows INR 3377.99 (are you kidding me????) on the front screen and then again it shows my current bill as INR 1432. 84 on view bill screen. I was told by your call center personnel that I owe 1432 to your company after some reversal that he did, I have no clue why? Probably because I ensured to convey my unhappiness to him.

Tired of attending to your run of the mill by-hearted customer care agents, I now decided to do a chat with you agent. Funnily enough even their chat messages are copy pasted. I wonder if it’s high time that you stop calling yourself a service company because there is no customer service it’s only a mockery of your customer’s problem and time. This time too he couldn't help and to my awe confirmed that the birth date I told him did not match his records. The last I remember, I was indeed born on the day I mentioned. The icing on the cake was when all information i.e. alternate number, the plan and the email id I have been using since 6 years didn't match. This is sheer torture and ridiculous.

Sent an email to the appellate email id.. to my surprise they responded with yet another ferry of fake promises. Was told on the 7th November that I will be served with a redressal within 48 working hours and as per the person who sent me the email, 48 working hours is an indefinite time period and can also be 3-4 days.

I am not just displeased with the fact that none of your agents have not been able to sort my network issue or my porting request, I am also disheartened that you are practically cheating your customer’s faith and free riding on your own goodwill.

I am very certain that I will receive an automated reply for this email too, but I want to bring this on record. My only recourse is to be loud on the social media, because the only fear your service sector will have is a tarnish to your image.
