Complaint Details
I booked an Ola cab from Nasik To Mumbai on 16-Nov-16 at 06:48 Pm for a ride on 17-Nov-16 at 02:30 Pm. I received booking confirmation through SMS from Ola Cabs with CRN 458828935 stating that I will be shared with the ride details within 1 hour prior to the journey. Do note that the journey was intended to catch a flight I booked for me from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi (EY203) at 09:25 Pm.
Accordingly I checked out from my hotel and was waiting for the cab since 02:15 Pm. However, I didn’t receive the driver details nor I was able to track the cab through the app until 02:30 Pm on 17-Nov-16. So I called up the customer care number +912233553355 at 02:30 Pm to enquire the status of the cab. The executive who attended the call informed that there is no cab near my area and so the cab was not arranged. I conveyed my grief to the executive who was repeating her words that the car was not arranged and she is helpless. I insisted to talk to her supervisor and I was connected to Mr. Mayuook.
I explained the whole situation and especially my time constrain regarding my flight booking. However, there was no support extended / solution provided by the supervisor either. Since my outward journey is very important and I cannot afford to miss the flight and that no solution was proposed by the executive even after talking to them for over 20 Mins, I raised 2 possible solutions: To arrange me a cab to be picked up asap OR To refund me the additional amount I might spent if I am using any other provider. But again none of the above was agreed or my grievance all went to deaf ears. By that time I had already spent over 20 mins discussing the issue and since I had no time to lose to look for alternative, I dropped the phone line without any solution / support from the executives.
It may be noted that till today the status of the booking as per the app is “scheduled” and I have not received any notification from Ola regarding the unavailability of the cab. But I managed to reach Mumbai using the hotel cab and I paid INR 6,326.00 for the journey I got confirmed with Ola.
The above described situation has caused me serious inconvenience, stress and financial loss.
