Complaint Details
I received MI vr play for free(gift) on 18-01-17. After pairing my phone with MI vr, I tried using the button of MI vr but it's button was not working, even after making so many adjustments, the button didn't work and all my efforts went in vain. I contacted customer care the next day i.e. on 19th jan.
Xiaomi has a replacement policy of 10 days as mentioned on their website http://www.mi.com/in/. I told them that I got faulty product and I need a replacement of that. They said ok you will get a replacement call within 24 hours. I received their call on 20 th .
Firstly they told me to check the product again .I told them again that the product don't work. They said ok and then denied to give replacement giving the reason that only purchased products can get the replacement not the gift. However, there is no where mentioned in their terms and conditions that the gift cannot get replacement as gift is also a product. Even in their invoice which I got, it is mentioned that you can get exchange or return. on the other hand they are also saying that you can go to service center and get the product replaced. As there is no service center in my area they are forcing me to go to different city and then get the product from there but they themselves are not giving the replaced product to my area. This type of condition is not mentioned anywhere on their website nor any other condition mentioned on MI vr play box regarding this type of issue.
I request you to please take some action.
