Complaint Details
On 21st March 2017, one of their technicians, Mr. Sourav Karmakar, had taken our Onida Microwave (which was in the running condition) from our residence on an agreement that he will repair the fault of displacement of the Microwave plate while it is in motion, revamp the whole body of the machine, paint the external surface and make it totally functional. He had quoted a price of maximum Rs 2,000/- as the total service expenses and had accepted an advance of Rs 500/- against it. A soft-copy of the said bill is attached herewith for your ready reference. He promised to return the machine back to our residence after total overhauling within maximum 7 days from the date of taking our machine from us.

Since then I have had called up several times at their office, but the recipient of the call had every time promised to return our microwave machine after total repairing within another few days. But even after 4 weeks have passed, we are yet to receive our microwave back, which is causing great problems in the day to day cooking in our family.

Since, our said microwave machine is not yet delivered to us even after my continuous follow-ups – both verbal and written, and their assurance and reassurances, we are now very sceptical about their intention.

In my last mail a week ago, I had made time of the essence and requested our microwave machine to be delivered fully repaired and overhauled within maximum 7 days of receipt of the mail.

And had also mentioned therein that should they fail to do so, we will be requesting them to return us back in the condition in which it was taken from our residence along with the full refund of the advance of Rs 500/- paid to them along with the compensation at savings bank interest rate from the date the advance amount of Rs 500/- taken from the undersigned till the date the said advance amount is refunded back.
