Complaint Details
I had bought a Mi powerbank via amazon on 14th October 2016 . I had bought the powerbank since I was travelling a lot for my educational purposes. The powerbank stopped working just after 5 months of purchase somewhere in the month of march. But I was able to take it for repair only by May when I returned home to kerala which I agree was a grave mistake on my part. I took it to the service center over here in Kerala. I was told by the representative that the powerbank was out of warranty by a month and already 7 months have gone, when warranty is only for 6 months. I said I would bear the expenses of the repair from my own hand, but they said no such provision exists. I had to return without a solution. I contacted their customercare via email but was met with the same response. I even tried contacting their MD, Mr. Manu Kumar Jain via twitter since I have read that the top executives help in resolving consumer complaints. But nothing happened of that also. I just feel that it is very unjust of Mi to deny me service on a product that I have spent more that 2000 rupees just because it is out of warranty. I hope you can help me resolve this issue. I have attached the bill receipt, token at the service centre and a part of the chat conversation with Mi.
