Hi, I purchased LG G4 mobile phone when i was in UK in Feb 2016. I came back to India in late 2016 for good. I started experiencing bootloop issue since the start of this week and my mobile phone is no longer functioning. I contacted LG customer service UK and they said since i moved back to India i need to get my mobile serviced in India only. So i contacted India customer care they said they can service it free of charge if it is purchased within 18 months since the Bootloop issue i am facing with the mobile is a well known manufacturing defect which has been acknowledged by LG. However, when i informed the customer care representative that it was purchased in UK, he refused to accept the phone and demanded Rs 20,000 for fixing it. This is really disappointing and unethical on LGs part since this is well known manufacturing defect and LG is obliged to fix it as they have been doing in other countries. If the default one year warranty is international, then the extended 6 months warranty that LG is providing for this manufacturing defect should also be applied internationally and not regionally. Kindly help in addressing my grievance and fixing the defective mobile
