I had ordered a MOTO G 5 phone as a gift for my son on 4 June 2017. The phone arrived on 10 June 2017 (ORDER #406-0537529-8122735).
At the onset itself we found that the speakers of the phone were not working, so I filed for a return. After numerous calls to the customer care, they suggested I do a smart check on the phone. I asked them to send in the technician. when the technician finally arrived on 14 June he concluded that the phone needed to returned. When I contacted the customer for the 'nth' number of time they asked me to mail the report given by him on cs-reply@amazon.in. I received no response from them, so I called them up again and then the so called returns and refunds department representative tells me that the phone I bought for Rs. 11999/- was not eligible for refund or exchange but could only be replaced by the same model. When I insisted I needed a refund, he said no one in whole of Amazon could give me a refund for the product and that I would have to take a replacement only.
This is a fraudulent way of adopted by Amazon which is forcing faulty products on the customers.
