Dear Sir,



The Freemie Breast Milk Pump was purchased on Amazon.in during early April 2016 for use in India. After the birth of the baby, the pump was used during mid of May 2016, but the product did not work at all. The sucking pressure was not at all felt. We raised a query on the Original Manufacturer's website along with seller details and Invoice copy.



The Manufacturer in USA has reverted that



1. The product sold to us is not intended for use in India and not been authorized by Freemie (Manufacturer) to be sold in India, thus is a violation of terms. Also the Seller is not Authorized by them. When we purchase from Amazon, we have no way to check if the seller is verified or not. We trust Amazon India.



2. We have been sold a product model which is suited only for the United States, thus incorrect product sold to us by the seller, which is wrong.



We further tried contacting the seller on phone and through email messages asking for a return and refund of the money for the incorrect / defective product sold to us. But the Seller claimed that he will deduct 30% of the product value towards shipping costs, which is a huge amount and is incorrect on their part for having sold a wrong product. Shipping Charges was free at the time of purchase.



When we contacted Amazon India, they simply washed their hands of it saying the return time was over. How can I test the product before the baby is born? We don't know either the manufacturer or the seller. We bought only on the trust we had on Amazon India.



The anguish we felt is multifold:



1. Rs. 18915.00 is a huge amount and we are cheated of it.

2. Since my baby is premature, doctor had already suggested breast pump. Since the product did not work in the last minute, my baby suffered very much because of it. The attitude of the seller (Cart2India SLP) and Amazon India is absolutely callous.

3. In a time when we should have been happy with our baby, we had to struggle with correspondences to the manufacturer, seller and amazon - all finally cheating us and leaving us with deep mental anguish.



We seek appropriate compensation not just for the product but for the deep mental anguish we and our new born baby experienced.
