i have a 6 years old sony viao laptop whose battery is now dead and doesent work. my laptop only works with the power supply. i asked sony service pathankot about the price to which they asked 250 rs for just knowing the price of the battery and it would be refundable only if you purchase the battery or if i wanted to buy the battery, i had to pay an advance and after that also price of the battery would be known only at the time of billing. to know theprice of the spare part of the product is not chargable anywhere.and to know the price of the spare part is the right of the customer. But i have not got any resolution from sony. 2 people have callled me in this regard to which one said ,' this price was taken because we import batteries from outside so for us to know the price some ticket is raised and thats y the amount was taken from you.

the second person said , battery mei problem nhi hai, there might be problem in the laptop ( he was trying to prove himself right and claimed the charges to be inspection charges where i had asked the price of the product on phone itself. how can you ask the inspection charges where the customer hasnot taken the product to the service centre.

sony is doing nothing but making fool of customers. here i have reported this issue and everyday a new story is comming to me and they dont do anything f0r any isue.

last month only i had issue with my car stereo which i had that issue since december but the sterio was working,.. but last month i dont know what they did to my sterio, it stopped working and when i called the service centre for an explaination , the representative said, madam kya bakwaas kar rhe ho, pta kuch hota nhi hai aise hi boli ja rhe ho.
is this the way a customer is treated??

i request you to plkease do something about the matter.
sony should not be spared. they should be treated a lesson so they dont cheat any other cusromer
