Complaint Details
On the 6th of July, I had purchased a battery operated toy from this shop. At the time of purchase, the sales person checked ONLY the motor of the toy and it worked fine. But, when we opened the gift on the 8th of July and operated it after full assembly, it wasn't functioning as expected and kept getting stuck. So, we returned to the store the very next day, only to be told that the store wouldn't accept or replace goods once sold. Upon speaking to the owner, she too insisted that the toy could not be returned or replaced and refused to accept that consumer laws require them to do so. Kindly advice and help me find a suitable solution to my problem. It is a week since the child's birthday and he is extremely disappointed and unable to understand why his gift has been taken away from him!
