Complaint Details
i am an NRI and visited HDFC branch @JNTU when i was in India in July for a DD. I was met by the investment manager and then said he has a good ULIP. I signed up for it without knowing that a medical test is required. They told me that medicals is required after I signed up and the money is deducated. I said I had to leave US in the next few days and I dont have time for it and I need my money back. they said I will receive an email for acknowledgement and if I deny the acknowledgement, I will receive the refund in couple of days. I havent receive the refund, I wrote to their customer service thrice but no response. their phone numbers do not work from US. I chatted with an agent and she said I will have courier some documents to India to get it cancelled. this is cheating as the bank failed to disclose all the details required before getting a policy signed. application # 1335731360084
