Complaint Details
I was travelling on Mumbai to Goa 9W479( PNR OFYQYG) with my wife Saheb Sethi( PNR : SSIYPD). When we reached the checking counter at 410am, I was told that the guy ( Mr. Selwyn) on the check in desk that the flight is overbooked as a regular practice and we will have to wait for 15mins and get in line again for boarding passes.

When I protested, I was told that he will be unable to do anything. I then demanded to speak to the his supervisor, Mr. Maneesh.

This gentleman( Mr. Maneesh) is the rudest staff ever employed by Jet. He just reiterated what Mr Selwyn said and even disrespected me by looking at his phone/papers while pretending to hear me out. When I pointed out that it is disrespectful , he got angry and flustered. I took out my phone to check for the time when this gentleman started shouting to not click pics which I was not.

He then proceeded to hit my hand to which I protested and he started shouting for CISF. I then asked to speak to his manager, Ms Reena( Duty Manager) to which this gentleman lied that she is at the boarding gate and there is no way he can contact her. Five minutes later, I saw him speaking to Ms Reena to which I went to her and asked to speak to her. I waited till the time he was finished whereas he was not even courteous to do so for me.

This gentleman then proceeded to interrupt when I was speaking to her to which I protested and I asked to shift to side to speak to Ms. Reena. This particular gentleman then proceeded to threaten my wife who was standing near the checkin counter when I was speaking to Ms. Reena. I then lost my cool and finally shouted at this guy to get away from my wife else I will forced to fight to him. He then again started threatening me with CISF and even after Ms. Reena telling him to keep quiet he kept on threatening me. Infact he refused to listen to Ms. Reena as well and kept on threatening me while pointing fingers. Till this time , the time was almost 445am and then I was given the boarding passes. I was so concerned about the gentleman, Mr. Maneesh doing something nefarious that I requested Ms. Reena, to keep this gentleman away from me and his wife at a distance of 50 feet. She was then kind enough to ask a luggage porter to take us to the security check.

I demand an apology from this gentleman in public like the way he disrespected me and much more importantly I demand that a severe action be taken against him.

Furthermore, I demand an explanation why the overbooking is encouraged as a practice which is borderline illegal.
