Reliance Jio sells it Jio Fi device for Rs 1999. This includes the device proper with a data plan worth Rs 1999.
As a festival offer Jio has been advertising that they have slashed the price from Rs 1999 to Rs 999 which is misleading, as they are now selling only bare device that too of different model and reduced battery capacity. So this is not a case os slashing of price. In fact the consumer is being hoodwinked here as they would have to buy a data plan which makes the device costlier if compared one to one with the Rs 1999 offer. Jio has widespread reach across the country and such misleading advertisements are unfair and must not be resorted to as many consumers in especially rural sector are not so much in the know of the finer details and consequently get cheated.
