Hi Team,
I have couple of complains with Air India Express and Goibibo website with respect to my booking made. I had made booking for 5 passengers from Chennai to Thrivandrum to travel on 29th September 2017. Ticket was booked on 14th September itself and received ticket confirmation. But on 23rd September, Air India sent an email saying flight is cancelled due to operational reasons and they did not have any alternative option to travel on the same day. I tried booking ticket with other airlines on the same day but ticket price was 3 times than my old ticket. Finally i boarded cab and it took us 18 hours for the travel. I was told that cancellation initiation should be done 2 weeks before. Else customer needs to be compensated. When I inquired with Airindia Express on it, they said there is no such thing. We book ticket well in advance but these kind of last minute cancellations affecting customers.
Also, the ticket was booked through GoIbibo site and I called them to place cancellation. They cancelled the ticket and said refund will be processed by Airindia express to Goibibo and then Goibibo will process refund to customer. AirIndia confirmed that on 27th Sep, they processed refund. However, I have still not received refund. Why are they playing with customer money for close to 13 days. Isn't there any remedy for customer sufferings?
