Sir,
This is an email regarding cancellation of my policy and I am not receiving any response at all from any end. Ms. Subhasree and Mr. Pinaki Nag from HDFC dunlop branch, Kolkata,West Bengal has mis-sold me and my father an insurance policy by fraudulent information about return amount, bonus every single details. They told it is an investment policy, did not even mention it is a life insurance policy. Everything was verbal and I trusted them on their verbal details. I was not at all interested about any life insurance. I wanted to withdraw the complete amount from my account as I wanted to close the account but they told me that 30% of my money will be deducted if I withdraw it, later I got to know there is no such rules for NEFT transaction. This is how they cheat people.They took my hard earned money and now refusing to go for 15 day free lookup cancellation policy. I am currently living in United States and while talking over "simplyChat" three of the representative told me that sending all documents through email will be completely fine as I am staying abroad and time window is short. But they are denying to taking into account any of these conversation. The representative from HDFC Life branch asked me for Original Pan Card, Voter Card, Aadhar Card... Is it a joke? Should I send all these valuable originals over courier ? I already had chat details from where I got to know what details I needed to submit to local branch but my local branch is not accepting any document as long as they receive any email from hdfc service and I am not receiving any email from hdfclife with any solution. I want all my money back and this is fraudulent , how they keep someone else's hard earned money by misselling of their products. I want to do the 15 day free free lookup cancellation and I started this process before 10th of October which is 2 days after receiving my Original documents. I do not understand why I am not receiving any help or response either from email facility of local branch, Is it deliberate just to get over the 15 days time window and tell me afterwards this is not possible as 15 days has already passed. My father is a senior citizen and he is taking care of everything in absence of me. Every single day they are harassing my father and send them to different branches with all inappropriate information. Mr Pinaki asked us write the reason just as Financial Problem as I am studying and I do not have money for premium. Whereas this financial reason is the minor reason and that fraudulent information for mis-selling was the major reason where I cannot match any details.
Me and my father, we are helpless. Please help us by looking into the matter.
