In April 2013, I wanted to inform others about one very useful website and so I booked an ad through www.releasemyad.com . After booking the ad in personal category the agency accepted it and generated an invoice (ID 1064923) of approximately Rs. 3000/- which I paid immediately. But, it was not published. When I corresponded through mail then the agency told that it should be booked in service category at approx. Rs. 10000/-. I did not agree for paying this much and requested to refund my money on which the agency unilaterally charged a cancellation fee of 15% without any fault of me. I fail to understand what was my fault whether I paid immediately as per the invoice was my fault or not accepting to book in service category was my fault. After all no guideline was given about category selection. How can it charge cancellation fee when agency itself refuses to publish ad.
The above example is analogous to a shop keeper telling Rs. 100/- for some item but after taking Rs. 100/- from customer, refusing to give the item saying that the item is worth Rs. 1000/- and also refusing to pay the money back. This is a pure cheating activitiy and cannot be accepted by any norm.
I request you to kindly take strong action against the firm for harassing and cheating me
