I bought a TV of Toshiba through Amazon on 07/11/14. It came with a warranty of 3 years. And as a properly timed clock, it stopped working on 31/10/17. Within warranty period. I chose to report this to their helpline 01203870700 on 31st October itself and they gave me a ref no- TIPLSR31XH02959. And that's it. No more communication after that. Whenever i called them again, they simply informed me that "we're escalating your issue and someone will get in touch with you". Everytime this same response was given. Whenever I enquired about the presence of any senior person through their helpline, there was no one available.

After much haggling with the customer care executives, pleading and requesting them to please resolve my issue, i was awarded with a mobile call, where the caller identified as someone speaking on behalf of toshiba and assured me that my problem would be resolved. That's it.

Till this date, they haven't even told me why my appliance stopped working. And now that i have come to know that Toshiba India has stopped manufacturing TV in India and they are not providing spares also to the service centers. I don't even know what to do now.

These foreign companies come to India, set up shops and sell their products to we Indians and whenever convenient, close down the shutter. They do not even bother to provide service to their existing customers who trusted them, seeing their brand promotion, advertisement etc.

What am I to do now? These Toshiba customer care people conveniently let my warranty expire by delaying any response. Now there's no assurance or even communication from their end as to how or what happens to consumers like me.

They're busy selling their inferior quality products, whose life cycle is only till the duration of their warranty period. Even at this moment, the company which claims "Leading Innovation" as their brand tag is innovating new ways to fool indian customers by selling them their products and not assisting with service and spares. Shame on you Toshiba.

Do know that I am not going to let this go that easily. I will take up this matter on several other platforms. I will make it a mission to educate other Indian Citizens about the malpractice your company is doing. No Indian should be fooled by this foreign Japanese companies who preach honesty in their home country Japan but set up shops in India only to fool Indians. Mark my word, by ignoring my problem you're going to create more damage to your brand reputation than it would have originally costed you to resolve my problem. I will burn your appliance and stream it live on several social media channels so that people should be left with the right image of BRAND TOSHIBA. And that would definitely educate other INDIANS to stay away from a fraud company like yours.

I am curious now to see the extent till which you guys ignore my problem. I paid with my hard earned money to buy your product. And i was assured with a service warranty. Ignoring customers problem is not a good business practice!! SHAME ON YOU.
