Complaint Details
I had enrolled for several treatments at Birla Ayurveda (Juinagar) on 27/10/2017 alongwith my brother-in law. We paid and advance amount of 13,000 Rs out of the total 16,000 they had asked for the treatment with discount. We completed 7 days of "Nasyam" treatment meant to cure sinus problems. We noticed a very huge number of mosquitoes and sub-standard hygienic conditions inside the facility. They offered us "herbal water" daily after treatment. On our 7th day into the treatment procedure, both of us started having symptoms of very high fever, body pain, shivering, headache, nausea, rashes, loose motions, etc. We consulted our doctors and were asked to be admitted to a hospital as the symptoms still persisted despite medication. We were diagnosed with having contracted bacterial infection (traces of typhoid) in our diagnosis and had to be admitted for 4 days. Upon bringing up this matter with the concerned authority at the Birla Ayurveda (Juinagar) Mr. Vasudevan, he outright denied the fact that they had anything to do with our condition. We demanded a refund of the money we paid and were asked to give them a written complaint upon which they would "take it up with higher authorities" and revert back to us.

We strongly feel this shouldn't happen with any other person who avails for their services and hence have decided to take this matter to consumer forumn. We hope justice is done in this matter and we get our money back at least, let alone all the medical expenses and trouble we had to bear due to their negligence.
