Complaint Details
I am a Scientist working with Government of India and currently on deputation to Australia till 31st March 2018. The grievance is related to my TATA SBI credit card. No. 5242479294550747. I reported to TATA SBI credit card customer center regarding the unauthorized and fraudulent transaction of around 1 Lakh Rupees which was performed through my Tata SBI card No. 5242479294550747 on 19th June 2017. I reported this unauthorized and fraudulent transaction within 1 hour of the fraudulent transactions. I immediately called up the SBI credit card helpline to block my credit card and requested to stop the transactions. The complaint number for misuse of phone number is 121471021502 and complaint for fraudulent transaction and charge back was 121471219066. The copies of email correspondence with SBI credit card regarding the reporting of fraudulent transactions and their acknowledgments are attached (Annexure I, II,III and IV). The dispute form was also submitted to SBI credit card department (Annexure V). I also approached the Bhoiwada Police station Mumbai and Cyber cell Mumbai Police (Annexure VI, VII). I was regularly following the matter with SBI to expedite the fraud investigation as I was proceeding to Australia on 30.06.2017 to join Government of India’s prestigious Indian National Science Academy Indo Australia fellowship. I also informed my mobile number of Australia to SBI.

Despite this, SBI kept on harassing me and humiliating me publically by sending collection agents to my residential address in Mumbai (Annexure VIII). I immediately called up SBI and requested them to stop the harassment and I also told them that I will be returning to India on 31st March 2018. I also assured them that after returning to India, I will personally meet SBI officials. However, the harassment is still continue and yesterday, SBI employees called up my brother Mr Dinesh Gajbhiye at Bhusawal and threatened him to pay the outstanding money of Rs. 1 lakh otherwise I will face the consequences (Annexure IX). SBI further humiliated and insulted me by calling at my university of Queensland St lucia today at 4 pm (Australia time) and warned me to pay the outstanding money immediately (Annexure X).

The transactions were not done by me. The details of the fraudulent transactions are attached (Annexure XI).

As per the RBI and Supreme Court guidelines regarding the fraudulent transactions, I had informed the SBI well in advance within one hour. In spite of this fact, I am being harassed, humiliated and publically insulted by SBI. After 5 months of my correspondence with SBI, I have not got any relief. On the contrary, I am being tortured and insulted by SBI.

I am most humbly requesting you to kindly look into my case and give me justice to save from further harassment and humiliation.
