Complaint Details
I was traveling from vistara on 28th Dec 17 with my mother. At the time of gate in we were informed that a level 4 security check has to be done as there were 2 power Banks in my luggage. The vistara staff at the gate in told my mother to give it in writing that we authorize the airport security to open our luggage and destroy the power bank. Since the power banks are expensive I asked her to send it to me or keep them and I will get them collected from the Delhi Airport. The staff lady told me that it is a government rule that it will be destroyed. The staff was rude with my mother and also misinformed us. I checked and found that there is no such rule. I called Delhi Airport security to check and was told that any belongings are handed over to the staff. I also called T3 terminal manager and he confirmed the same. On 29th Dec 17 I called vistara call center and made a formal complaint. The power banks are worth Rs. 3000 each and after 6 days of waiting no resolution is made. I need to get the power bank back or to be compensated in full against them. The airline had some system issues due to which the boarding was only started less than 10 minutes prior take off time hence there was no time left for me to personally go to the security area and collect the same. If we see this objectively both the delay and misinformation was on part of the airline
