Complaint Details
I purchased a baby stroller manufactured by MeeMee. On first use i realised that either the design of the product is faulty or I was supplied with defective item.My 11 month old would slide down the seat within 15 or 20 minutes of being in the stroller. Her back would get curved into a very uncomfortable position,with her chin into her chest. Her neck would bent at an awkward angle and her legs would hang down. This would make the safety straps cut into her groin and sides.long term use of the stroller would definitely cause posture problems and hamper the development of babies delicate back and neck bones. On reaching out to the above company I was made to wait for almost a month in the pretext of them trying to assist me. I waited patiently and did everything they asked. Sent photo's, replied to multiple emails and provided all information asked. Then they asked me to visit their franchisee outlet. I had to travel quite a distance to get there. We were treated very badly by the owner of the store. He shouted at us and kept insisting it wasn't his problem and that I should sort it out with the company itself. After the wasted trip I was extremely appalled with the way things were handled. That a company could allow its customer to be inconvenienced so much by purchase of their product and not do anything to assist. And instead cause more inconvenience to the said customer. I was done with this brand and told them they could have their stroller back and I wanted a refund for the same. The stroller was in the same condition it was bought in
Only having been used twice. It had been lying at home the whole time waiting for Meemee to sort this issue. It's been almost 2 months now and they are still giving me the run around. I am shocked that our country allows companies like this to produce sub standard products, especially in case of baby care items. These products should be stringently tested and should be subject to enhanced quality control. We can't even provide our babies with safe products even after spending so much money. Really hoping you can assist me in resolving this issue and also bringing this issue to the attention of parents out there which hopefully in the long run will make such companies accountable for the products they put out into the market.
