I purchased this hard-disk in March 2016 on my name for my company, and to get the reimbursement I was asked for the invoice from the accounts departmemnt. For which i spoke with Ebay customer care and they informed me that they couldn't help me out and that I need to get in touch with the seller whose number was shared with me. I tried getting in touch with the seller several times he answered the calls and always kept giving me reasons like he is travelling so cant talk. Then I also checked my ebay account for the invoice, but there wasn't any. After sometime my hard-disk stopped working in the first year itself. So I thought of getting a data recovery done as it had very important company data so after consulting WD I managed to give my harddisk for data recovery. The agency said that the data couldn't be recovered. So I sent my harddisk to WD for replacement after a long in november 17 I received a mail from them saying that the hard-disk is a counterfiet and they have confiscated the same and I wont be gettting a replacement. Then I spoke with ebay they tell me that they cannot help me out with anything, I asked them atleast provide me the invoice as the seller contact details are incorrect they said that they cannot help me out with that as well.

As ebay is a medium for the sellers to connect with the customers, they are to be blamed for my loss.

1. They have no correct contact details of the seller.

2. They are not getting a background check of the seller if he is genuine or fraud.

3. If I am making a purchase from ebay website why my invoice is not updated in my account and why do I need to run behind the seller for the same. In my case the seller is also a fraud thatswhy he never gave me the invoice and ignored my calls now when I try calling him his number is always switchedoff.

I need a resolution for this asap, and I think ebay has to be held responsible for this counterfeit product and I should be getting a refund for the same.

I am attaching all the relevant documents regarding this complaint.
