Complaint Details
I had to rush to India from Jakarta on the 8th of January 2018 due to the sad demise of my father in law. I booked my self at JET AIRWAYS which shares code with Garuda Indonesia .

Upon returning back to Jakarta on the 13th of January 2018 , I found one of my bag missing . Upon reporting the matter to the baggage service counter at CGK SOEKARNO HATTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT a bag was found which matched MY NAME TICKET . Obviously , this was due to the negligence of the JET AIRWAYS staff who checked me in at Delhi Airport and gave my name ticket to someone else's bag .I was given a form to fill by Garuda Baggage Service counter , which I did and also deposited the wrong bag at the same counter.
I immediately wrote to Jet Airways Baggage service but didn't receive any response . I made many international calls but sadly for each call there would be a different person with no update about my case and I had to spend atleast twenty to twenty five minutes explaining my case over international calls . After writing for umpteen times I received this following mail as a response to my problem, wherein ,I have been asked to contact Garuda as the last carrier is responsible for the luggage - but sir, I am sure you would understand that giving my name tag to someone else's bag is NOT the fault of Garuda Airlines . This is the fault of the Jet Airways staff who at the time of my check -in gave my name ticket to someone else's bag.

And on top of everything else, I have been asked by the baggage service team I need to go through UNITED AIRLINES for any claim . Sir, first of all, I am yet not asking about any claim,I would be more than happy and satisfied if my OWN Bag can be returned to me safely. Secondly , why should I go to UNITED AIRLINES when I traveled Jet - Garuda connection. This is a sheer cut paste , eye wash response to my approx 20 kg of my stuff along with my bag is indeed very annoying .

None of the staff at JET AIRWAYS took the time to go through my emails in earnest or even to listen to my conversation over international calls.
I am sure sir, you do understand my plight - one of missing baggage and on top of it such careless attitude of JET AIRWayS staff .
This has of course created a lot of disappointment in my heart and has initiated me to question my loyalty to JET AIRWAYS . I am not even sure whether this email and my feelings will reach you or not, nevertheless , wanted to write to you .
