Complaint Details
I had booked a double room for 2 days at New Guwahati Lodge, Guwahati from 06/01/2018 to 08/01/2018 at the Yatra online private Ltd on 04/01/2018 for Rs.1292 with Booking Ref No.: 0401811247371. The room arranged for me was very dirty. There were dogs roaming inside the lodge. The toilet was very dirty and water was available only on request. I complained about this to the yatra customer care through the mail and by phone. I requested them to cancel 1 day's booking and refund the money. I was ready to stay there for a day because I thought it would be difficult for them to arrange me another room on such a short notice. But all my efforts for the resolution of my problem went in vain. They refused to refund the money and I was forced to stay in the most unhygienic conditions for 2 days. So I request the consumer forum to take necessary actions to avail a reasonable compensation of Rs.1500 for the deficiency in services, unfair trade practice by the company by adopting deception for promoting sales in their website, causing inconvenience and humiliation to me. I attach the Bill, Photos of the room and the email conversation with Yatra customer care. Please help.
