Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought a Prestige wet grinder (model# PWG06)( Serial No. 1604001130) at Prestige Smart Kitchen, R.S.Puram Coimbatore on 23 May 2016. I was told that it comes with 2 years warranty.
On January 26th the product stopped functioning and i called them to know about the warranty, they asked me to bring the product, which i did so on 29th Jan 2018. they gave me a receipt and i was told to collect it after 3 days.
when i called the business to know about the status on 2nd Feb 2018, they told me there will be a charge for the parts changed. I asked them i am being charged then the warranty is alive. then they told me the warranty is only for Motors. I was surprised, then after they told em it is printed in the booklet a went through it and saw that it is printed (on motors) very small below the 2 years.
I was charged for the services and after i told them i will fight this out on consumer council they kept on calling me to compromise.
This letter to you is to advice Prestige (the manufacturer) to Print there warranty legibly.
As i am ready to fight back i may get the reimbursement, but what about the rest of the population who believed the words of a Pan India Company about the warranty.
The Dealer provided me 2 bills for the service charge (Bill No. 2908 & 2869) Attached.
In the Bill NO. 2908 it is ticked marked after Non-Stick (I am surprised what is non-stick doing in the wet grinder)
