Complaint Details
I had booked a flight ticket (Booking ID:- NF22697122514041) for my wife Manjula Rai Mallepalli, with cancellation assurance if cancelled within 24 hours of travel (ticket attached). The cancellation assurance was charged at Rs. 898/- for onward and return journey (fare breakup attached). There was no stipulation in the website at the time of booking that the said assurance was only if the entire booking is cancelled. Even in the ticket, it shows cancellation assurance for each journey. After I had cancelled one journey in the said booking, the refund was only Rs. 351 and not the entire ticket amount as under the said cancellation assurance. When I raised a complaint, they clarified that it is applicable only on entire booking being cancelled. This stipulation is not visible when making the booking. By hiding the cancellation conditions in another webpage, makemytrip has cheated me of my duly entitled amount. When I am making a booking, it is not clearly stipulated under the 'Zero Cancellation' option that if the booking is for more than one journey then the cancellation has to be for the entire booking. There is a deficiency in services in not clearly displaying the conditions in the booking page itself. I want my refund.
