It is with great anguish & pain to bring to your attention a dreadful experience that I had while I was travelling from Bangalore to Delhi via Jet Airways on 16th June, Saturday evening by the Flight- 9W 0816 at 17:45 hrs with seat 15F
To my horror, I found a cockroach in Indian Veg Meal (sweet corns) which was served to me in the flight (Attached pictures for reference). I could not eat more and had to leave it. I was totally repulsed & immediately brought it to notice of the staff members who were serving food to us, but the lady first refused to recognize that it's an insect and rather forced me to believe that it's a leaf and insisted to give her the meal back. I was appalled at her audacity since she kept on refusing that it is not an insect. I immediately rushed to the toilet and had multiple vomits.

When she realized that she could not make a fool out of me, she admitted it and started apologizing and when I demanded a response from her, she went speechless and could not explain. I had to ask her to call the head purser of the flight who was not present there at that time. However, she then also did not call her even after asking 2-3 times and then finally I had to take that corn meal with me to witness it to the head purser by crossing the business class area. She immediately admitted that its a cockroach and started apologizing. She also offered me to have other meals and asked me to get settled with that.The cockroach seemed to have been fried along with the meal. The legs and antenna of the insect were all sticking out. It is such an unexpected thing which has ever happened to me. I had eaten most of the meal and was in between bites when I noticed the cockroach lying at the bottom of the container. I was totally shocked and went blank for a while; I didn’t know what to do, my colleagues were witnessing the incident and were angry/shocked too.
I'm not sure how an airline which boasts of International standards can be so careless & maintain such unhygienic conditions while serving passengers food.Is this the quality airlines is serving to its passengers even when we we pay such hefty amounts for tickets & trusts the service provider.

What kind of safety measures are they taking with the quality of meals? I am already feeling sick post this incident.
Please investigate this matter seriously.
Have made the same complaint to Jet Airways but they have not responded.
