Complaint Details
I have purchased my refrigerator from Hypercity, Bangalore on 29th Nov 2011 (INR 18500). I have used for one year. After 1 year, I found more electrical units consumption and frequent start and stop of compressor. I called Whirlpool service engineer with paid service to support. They found door is defective which can’t be repaired. We will replace the product with new product. But the same model was not available, so they asked me to choose new mode and pay additional amount through DD (April 2013 through HDFC bank)-INR 7000 .They have provided me new model Neochill -6th sense control IC 305 model, and also they have not provide me invoice. (INR 25500)



After Five years, I have been transferred to Mundra. This product functioned fine for five years and few months . In last month, it started non-functioning. I have registered complaint to whirlpool service centre with paid service. They sent one service engineer but not able to repair. They asked we require to order PCB which is not functioning. It took more than 3 weeks. After receiving part, they came again but not successful said that incorrect part sent by their office. Later they said me that this part is not available with company. You have to go for buy back option and we will deduct around 20-25 % amount (INR 3500 ) only and you can get the new for which you have to pay INR 24500.



The price I am getting is less than scrap value which is more than INR 8000. Why should I pay big amount, as company is not able to manage spare inventory for five years. Also life of any refrigerator is minimum 15 years while as per their policy , if life is 5 years, depreciation amount is 75% + additional INR.



I require urgent support for the same
