Complaint Details
We opened one Current Account in HDFC Bank Vile Parle East Branch for our business.
1. Incorrect information on time to open the Bank Account.
It was clearly informed to Bank representative Umesh Sawant that we will be requiring Online Net Banking along with Funds Transfer facilities as most payments will be done by RTGS / NEFT only. Firstly there was false information provided that Current Account will be opened within 2 Days. We had submitted all the Documents as required but still took around 10 - 15 Days just to open the Bank Account that too only after doing multiple follow ups with the Bank representatives. But no one cared to even solve this matter on priority.
2. Bank Statements issues.
When we checked the Bank Account Statements it was found that there was only one Credit Entry for Funds Deposited ( Rs. 100000 ) but there are 3 Shareholders who Individually provided 3 different Cheuqes ( Rs. 34000 / Rs. 33000 / Rs. 33000 ). Umesh Sawant had informed that this is the normal process how the Accounts are opened. We agreed to this but we informed Umesh Swant to provide us a Letter on HDFC Bank Letterhead mentioning 3 Cheuqe particulars as this was Shareholding contributions that were made and the same is required to be seen in the Bank Statements with Individual Name. It took around 45 Days just to provide this letter that was supposed to be signed by Umesh Sawant only.
3. Deposit Rs. 1000 to Activate the Bank Account.
After few Days we were informed that to Activate the Bank Account we will first have to deposit around Rs. 1000. This again was not provided as information while opening the Bank Account. Just to inform - The Shareholders already constibuted Rs. 100000 while opening the Bank Account soo why is another Rs. 1000 required now ? Also why was this information not provided earlier ? There was continuous followups made by Umesh Sawant to deposit Rs. 1000 ( naturally since their targets are affected if they do not do this ). I should rather say multiple calls and continuous harransments due to these calls for this Rs. 1000 Deposit. But when we were asking for the Statement showing Cheque Numebers that were provided for opening the Bank Account which was never entertained untill we deposited Rs. 1000 then we received the Statements. We were informed by Raghwendra Mishra that its fine even if the Funds are not deposited but this is done as its a part in their Targets. Why should Customers be harransed for these targets.
4. Third Party Funds Transfers.
Now its the time when we tried to do Third Party Funds Transfer from our Account.
Its found that to do this we will be required to fill some other forms too. But as a Customer we had already informed Umesh Sawant to ensure that all the forms are signed in the beginning while opening the Bank Account but this was a big misrepresentation by the Bank by not providing us this information. While opening the Bank Account we were provided document sets that were signed but us but Umesh Sawant either did not provide this document or it was misplaced while processing. Even after being soo very clear about Customers intentions then why are these things not checked in the beginning. Umesh Sawant does not even have time to receive our calls as naturally the targets are acheived soo why bother about Customers. Raghwendra Mishra too follows the same logic.
After continuous follow ups from our side we finally managed to receive the Forms on E Mail. Again false information provided earlier that E Mail copies will be fine to activate the Third Party Funds Transfer. When E Mail is sent then its informed that Physical Copies will be requried. A person from Banks side was arranged to collect the documents from our Registered Business Address after arguing with Raghwendra Mishra that this is a false information provided by them. Documents submitted on 28 June 2018. We were informed that Third Party Funds Transfer will be activated on 29 June 2018. We called Umesh Sawant on 02 July 2018 to check why is this still not activated. Umesh Sawant replied that the Forms were sent for processing on 02 July 2018 only - It will take around 4 - 5 Working Days to activate. We called Raghwendra Mishra but has no time to talk. Just informed to call Umesh Sawant to sort the issue. We spoke to Umesh Sawant then. We informed to call back the same day with the correct status but we did not receive a single call.
Called Umesh Sawant on 03 July 2018 to check the status. After multiple calls - our call was answered. Asked why was there no call with the status then its informed that it was raining. Like really ? Is this the answer that you provide your Customers ? Till date there is no update on the status. Umesh Sawant informed that Raghwendra Mishra will call back in 2 Minutes but still no calls.
A big misrepresentation is going on here by Banks employees who are taking Customers for granted by assuming that we can not do a thing. Request your support in this matter.
