I am a customer of TataSky DTH services for long time. Just few days back when I saw Tatasky is providing new kind of HD Set Top Box (STB) with new features Ethernet port and two USB port which I was waiting for long. So I decided to buy a child connection mainly for the new features of the box. So I ordered the child connection with customer care on 11-July-18 mentioning I want the letest STB with above features. But the guy was not technically sound and he promised they will provide me the latest model STB. Within one hour the local distributor sent installation guy with a different STB which was not the model ordered by me.
When I asked the guy this is not the box I ordered for which he said you have ordered with customer care(herein after refereed as CC) so you contact them for replacement. Next day on 12-July-2018 I asked about this with CC,they have taken complaint ID 16aen6k9. So I contacted the distributor and asked about this and he told me had I asked for the particular type of box we would have provided that and now we cant help as you ordered wit CC.
I wanted to buy one product and placed order for that but I receive a different product which is not required for me because of the fault of either Tatasky CC or the distributor. But it is not my fault.
Had they given me the same STB which I ordered(HEVC model) I would not have cancelled the order. They send a different STB and refuse to give refund.
Today someone from Tatasky called me and refused to replace the STB which I ordered and on cancellation of the order no refund is possible. Now My money Rs 1400 is with Tatasky. It is my money. This is unfair business practice and against business ethics.
So I request your kindness to look into this matter of Tatasky behavior against the interest of cutomer and beg you to take action in this regard.
