Dear Sir,

I have never asked for international services.

I have been cheated by Airtel by enabling international services without any explicit consent. Acquired personal information on travels, initiated call, took advantage of technology, enabled services on predetermined plan and done all that without any consent

I am getting emails with huge bills which I am not responsible for

This is with response to your email towards International Roaming charges levied on your bill for your airtel mobile number 9980771166.



I have checked our records and found that International Roaming @ 2999 Unlimited Incoming- 10 days pack-Main has been activated on your number 27-10-2018 and same has been deactivated on 10-11-2018.



Also, We would like to confirm you International Roaming services basic pack Rs. 0/- rental has been activated on your number 9980771166 with effect from 27-10-2018. However international roaming data service is blocked with effect from 10-11-2018.



We have verified details of your usage in invoice dated 06-11-2018 while in international roaming and noted the below usage while in international roaming. We are summarizing the details of your usage along with normal tariffs.



Incoming Voice calls - 01 min (Rs. 75/- )



Data: 32277 MB (Rs. 209800.50/- )



Please note, most handsets automatically switch to mobile internet in case the Wi-Fi connectivity is weak. This may happen especially when mobile internet option is enabled in your handset settings. It is to be noted that data usage will be seen and charged only when your handset connects to mobile internet, instead of Wi-Fi.



Request you to keep a note of the following:


1. Usage is charged as per the tariffs available on website.



2. Packs and plans charging is applicable as per Indian standard time.



3. There is a 15% surcharge on the usage.



4. Top-ups and discounts are not applicable for premium rate numbers / Maritime / Satellite / Aero mobile / Ship Cruise or Inmarsat. Usage on these will be charged as per the charges applicable by the network provider.5. If CLI (Calling Line Identification) is not shared by the respective network for incoming and outgoing calls, then customers own number will reflect in bill.6. Service tax of 18% will be extra on bill value.



International roaming usage depends upon the inputs received from other operator. Operators send usage details within 90 days. The usage is verified by us and post successful validation the billing is processed.



In future, you may visit http://www.airtel.in/IR and activate preferred discount pack before you initiate your travel. This will help you minimize your charges while in international roaming.



Your current outstanding is Rs. 4007.90/- the charges are valid, please make the payment within due date 24-11-2018.
