I ordered a dslr camera from Amazon which was being supplied by one of the qualified suppliers but the order wasn't delivered even after 2 weeks. My money was refunded. The interesting thing is, the supplier from whom I ordered has all negative reviews and other consumers have also had similar experiences. I spoke with Amazon and they refuse to accept any blame and say the only possibility is refunding the money without compensation. Based on my experience, I believe Amazon is qualifying suppliers without due diligence and needs to be audited to check for these anomalies. There are 2 suppliers, Vasu & sons and French_electronics who offer cheap products but have never fulfilled their delivery promises. There is some malpractice going on there.

I asked for compensation for this error and Amazon refused to offer anything. Instead they offered 2000 as 'goodwill gesture' which I refused.
