I had ordered the food order id #1304042026 on april 23 at 8:56 PM from Baba chicken. But delivery boy cancelled the order and not even bothered to reach the address location, costing me ₹304.75. So, i had to order paying the same food again from the same shop at 9:43 PM order id #1283405376 and the second delivery boy was able to reach the same location in the mean time. Both time i had already paid my order online.
After this, i reach out to the Zomato support team on april 24 for refunding the amount for first order and one of their agent told me that, 'The payment is reversed and it might take between 4 to 5 business days to reflect in your account'.
After 9 days of waiting, again have to reach the Zomato support team. None of their agent were capable of solving the issue and one of their agent told me that 'REVERSAL OF PAYMENT' as stated by one their agent was 'MISCOMMUNICATION' on his part.
On May 2, i texted them on their E-mail id about my grievance. They replied, 'We would like to inform you that according to new policies of Zomato if the order gets cancelled because of the customer being unresponsive at the time of delivery, a cancellation charge equal to the order amount is charged from the user as the food was already prepared/dispatched. As per the policies our delivery boy always calls multiple times before he returns the order to the restaurant, and calls us for the updates, we too try to call you at the time of delivering several times before cancelling the order and asking the deliver guy to return the order to the restaurant'.
As its clearly stated above that it was due to the 'NEGLIGENCE OF DELIVERY BOY' and ' MISCOMMUNICATION BY ONE OF THEIR AGENT', both my time and money has been wasted.
Delivery boy didn't came to my house and not even rang the door bell. Also, one of their agent told me about the reversing the payment, but it was all lie on their part, that wasted my money as well as time.
