I MR. Avinash Shinde am an account holder of Hdfc bank (kamla mills) branch, This was my salary a/c and the bank converted the a/c status from salary acc (zero bal acc) to savings acc without my permission. For minimum balance charge the bank had deducted money from my account, In Feb,19 I visited the branch for the complaint of change of a/c status. Mr. Santosh Vishwasrao from Hdfc said that after keeping the a/c in minimum balance range i.e 10k they won't cut any charges from my a/c, I deposited 11k in the a/c, and after that i have not withdrawn any amount from the a/c. After updating my books i found that the bank is still deducting the amount from my a/c on some other charges. In Sept,19 I again visited the branch and asked them the reason for deduction on which Mrs. Asha Mandal of Hdfc said that she'll explain the matter to her supervisor and they'll check into it and refund the 11k to my a/c. Till this day no one is answering my calls and I haven't been given any proper answer from the Bank or the person incharge for the deduction of the amount. Currently my account is in negative bal.
Firstly the bank changes my a/c status without my permission or informing me and then after keeping a/c in check according to the bank they are still deducting money from the a/c. I am really disappointed from the lack of help and ignorance from the bank. 11k is not a small amount and previously also the bank has deducted amount from my a/c. The branch is not near me so that i can visit it every day.
