Complaint Details
I had purchased Dr.Reddys Mintop hair Restore Formula 10% from Nityanand Medical & General Stores vide Bill No.409004 dated 27.08.2019. The hair restore formula is prescribed by my dermatologist. The package contains a Card with the logo' Mintop Privelege Club" The card has a scratch pad, which reveals a number on scratching it. The card gives a toll-free telephone no.180030001041 and also a sms no. 56363. You are advised to sms Mintop(space)(scratchcode) to 56363 on purchase of Mintop. The card says to keep accumulating MINTOP STARS and win exciting privelege benefits. I have tried the toll-free no. 180030001041 and it is not reachable. Similarly, sms cannot be sent to the telephone number 56363. I have purchased many such bottles over the last one and a half year and the said telephone numbers are not reachable. Thus, Dr. Reddy's is perpetarting a fraud on gullible customers by promising a non-existent and unspecified privilege benefits in order to induce them to pruchase their product. Considering that the hair tonic is prescribed for hair-fall, a common condition in ageing males, Dr. Reddys is falsely promoting sale of products by promising benefits, which is not ethical considering that hair tonic is prescribed by deramatologists. A scanned copy of my Bill, the said Privelege Card and the packaging of the product is enclosed. Please take stringent action to prevent this fraudulent scheme being perpetrated by Dr. Reddys's Laboratories.
