Complaint Details
I purchased an expensive watch from Rcity lifestyle store, Ghatkopar ,within a week its strap was worn out .I went again to the store to ask if they have given faulty pieces, the store guy collected my watch saying it will be sent to service center to check the issue and it will be replaced. I followed up with the store multiple times for a month but they had no clue about the watch.
Then they gave a credit note for the watch with a validity of 3 months for such expensive watch worth more than 6000.And they refused to give refund of cash.
As a consumer if I buy an item which is faulty and defective, I want the money back, not the credit note. Why should I buy from the same store especially after seeing such bad product and service. I may want to buy a watch from different store.
I request the Council to look at the interests of the consumer and enforce these large departmental stores to change policy for the consumers. Once you buy anything from them, they don’t return money rather a credit which essentially mean they don’t return money.
There can be various scenario like mine example, where parts can be defective or some issue which can arise from so many reasons. Its full right of the consumer to get the money rather than a credit note where consumer is forced to buy which may not be required.
