Complaint Details
• On 4th Dec'19, I had made an advance payment of 65,000 INR to MakeMyTrip and booked a holiday package(NL2211352202212) to Europe package named 'Amsterdam Swiss Paris Budget Special (Group Package)-2020. The trip was scheduled from 16th - 24th May'20.
• On 1st Mar'20, I notified MakeMyTrip by email that Coronavirus (COVID-19) is getting out of control (across the globe) and has already spread to Switzerland and France. These are countries I am expected to visit during my trip.  Also, many countries in Europe have already started imposing travel ban. And requested MakeMyTrip to either postponed my trip to next season (Sep/Oct or Dec or next year) or do a complete refund of payment.
• On 5th Mar'20, MakeMyTrip confirmed to me over email that any modification or cancellation will be as per policy & paid amount is non refundable. They are asking me to make the remaining payment and travel on the scheduled date with my family and take the risk of getting impacted with Coronavirus (COVID-19).
• MakeMyTrip is behaving very unprofessional and are forcing customers to travel to Europe, despite the warning by Government and other officials that there is a large outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across the globe and any travel (unless necessary) should be avoided.
In the current situation, my request is to have MakeMyTrip do a complete refund of my advance amount or credit the entire advance amount to my MakeMyTrip account, so that I can utilize that amount for some other Domestic vacation with MakeMyTrip .
