I had a flight booking from Delhi to Ranchi on 24th of April, 2020. The lockdown was announced a day prior starting 25th midnight during which the flights would not be allowed to fly. The airline cancelled this flight (scheduled for 24th March 2020) and I received a call regarding the same 2 hours before the departure time. The airline is not issuing the refund to my bank account but says it has been converted to a credit shell which can be used for one year. This is not even a valid excuse, as the day of flight was before the starting of lockdown. Hence the airline of their own accord decided to cancel the flight. I have reached out to their customer support to no avail. They cited the same reason - lockdown - while on the same day they had other flights operational. It is not fair that they are pushing a business decision under the guise of government instructions, because in that case none of the indigo flights would be flying. I also paid 17k+ for a ticket which normally costs around 2k-5K. Please help.
