Complaint Details
On 6th May 2020 at 11.20 am I received a call from +919082440964 on my mentioned mobile number telling me to pay for my internet service plan. I said the internet is not working to which the person said it will be started once I make a payment of 500Rs. I went on Hathway website
and made the paymet on this link after entering my account number:-

My hathway internet account number is: 1124382191.

Upon payment of Rs. 500 I received an invoice from Hathway confirming receipt of payment of Rs. 500/- having receipt number R25859794 (Attached herewith)

I noticed that the internet service did not start again immediately therefore I called the same number again at 11.40am - the person picked up and made a promise that the internet service will start in one day. But it never started.

I called the same number next day and to my shock and surprise I realized that this person had blocked my number!


I made two separate complaints to Hathway on Hathway App detailing the issue, the phone number and the payment but Hathway neither start my internet connection nor return my amount of Rs. 500. These complaints were never resolved but always closed without taking any action.

I lost my job because I could not work from home as Hathway had failed to restart my internet connection despite payment of fees in advance.I want my 500 rupees back and also 10,000/- Rs. (Ten Thousand rupees only) towards compensation for mental harassment during lockdown.
