MTNL offers a VDSL modem which other providers do not offer at the price. I submitted a form on 8 Nov 2013, after which I have been facing an issue to get the modem installed since it is "not available in stock" since over a month. I went to the MTNL office, where they rudely ask you to go from one person to the other. The person in-charge, frustrated, tells me to contact the DGM. After several attempts over a month to speak to the DGM, his secretary tells me that she can't do anything and maybe I should speak to the GM, who's secretary in turn tells me to speak to the DGM instead. I have been going around in circles for a month and there is no sign of having this modem installed. In a consumers market where companies run after consumers trying to sell products, I fail to understand why MTNL behaves this way, only because they're a monopoly.
