Hi,

My name is Rajeev MP. I am the owner of a black Ford Figo (Model-ZXI 2010 model , Registration Details :KL01-BA-2010)

On 22-Dec-2013, I noticed some sound coming from the vehicle front end. On 23-Dec-2013, I gave the vehicle for check up at Kairali Ford (Trivandrum-Eanchakal Dealership-Kerala). They checked the vehicle and came back with three observations
Drive Shaft has an issue(Drive Shaft Oil Leak)
Driver Shaft needs to be checked
Possible Gearbox Issue (Gear Stick tight)
They also said that the Drive Shaft needs replacement and the gear box may need repair and parts replacement too. At the time of purchase of my vehicle, I had taken extended warranty till Dec 27 2013 or 100000km (whichever came earlier). When I stated that both should be covered under the extended warranty that I have taken, they initially totally refused my statements. Then they stated that maybe the gearbox can be covered under the extended warranty period, but I needed to drop the vehicle with them today, for them to check with Ford directly. They also told that if I continue to drive my vehicle, it could damage the gearbox further. So I left the vehicle with them and registered a service ticket with them today itself (23-Dec-2013)

I came back home and rechecked the terms and conditions under extended warranty and confirmed that it covers all mechanical and electrical parts upto 100000km . I called the executive (One Mr. Vishnu K.S Mob:+91-8089294041, who dealt with my vehicle case) and told him about the extended warranty terms and conditions. He said that the drive shaft is only covered until 40000km, but when I re-iterated that the extended warranty does cover all mechanical and electrical parts till 100,000kms and hence both the parts(Drive Shaft and GearBox) should be covered under warranty

Since 25-Dec-2013, was a holiday, I called up Ford India (One Mr Shishil Kumar-who handled my case) and asked him on the status. He also stated that the drive-shaft cannot be covered. He did not mention anything about Gearbox.
I want this resolved at the earliest. I am extremely frustrated that the service/customer care executives would tell me conditions which are not there in the extended warranty conditions, and try to get me to pay for items that should be covered under extended warranty. I need my vehicle to be repaired at the earliest under warranty. If there are any clarifications needed from my side, I can reached by the following means.
