Complaint Details
I have installed MILCENT RO system water purifier before two years in my residence at above address. I purchased it from their Surat office located in Adajan. The purifier started leaking in the last week of December and I lodged telephonic complaint on 31 December 13. I was told that the service engineer will visit next day and I have to pay Rs.300/- as visit charge and I agreed. But the service engineer called up on 4 Jan and informed me that if I pay Rs 300 then only he will visit my house. I told him that pure water being essential I agreed to pay visit charges if the visit was made urgently. If the service engineer comes at his own convenience then it is unfair to charge me for his visit. I was given to understand that there is no service engineer in Surat and he travels from Anand to attend the complaints. He told me that he will ask his company and let me know. He then called up and told me that the company has advised him not to carry out repairs if his visit fees are not paid by me. I feel the after sales services of the company in respect of Water Purifiers sold by them in Surat is deficient and timely non-repair of water purifiers are a threat to public health and likely spread water borne diseases. My request is that if the company attends the complaints at their convenience, then only repair/parts charges should be payable and not the visit charge. PLease address the issue.
