Complaint Details
My honda activa reached bandra terminus on 24th of december. Due to some reasons, i could not collect it for few days. I collected it on 4th of january, 2014. The charge i had to pay was 3150, excluding the 2200 paid at the time of despatch. This amount is almost 50 % of the depriciated price of the activa. My complaint is that an intimation of such high fine should have been given to me so that i could some how collect it before. A nominal fine is acceptable but this is way too much for a middle class person. Also i found that at railway premises there were dozens of agents, claiming to get my work done. These agents also got entry often into the premises of the Railway Parcel Office where no admission was written. Even after i paid the fine and the octroi, no one guided me and i had to find my scooter my self, unpack it myself and while submitting the gatepass the policemen asked for bribe, which i refused to pay. My request is that action against railway authorities be taken for not intimating the fine and for the harassment i faced at their premises.
