Wud like to inform that I am a female and basis the same get a tax rebate while filing my returns with income tax. Now I hv checked with NSDL and they have confirmed that my gender in their database is showing as FEMALE which is correct data. Since No'13 I hv contacted CPC and they are telling me to apply for a new PAN. I hv already explained to them the entire issue and they have assured me that they will change the gender from their backend becoz on the CPC website I do not hv the rights make any changes in my gender. Please informed that I am already holding a PAN card and my details are absolutely correct in the NSDL data. I hv spoken to their Customer Care Executive and they hv confirmed that there is no need to apply or change the data in my PAN card. CPC has till date not changed my gender on their website becoz of this I am liable to pay taxes as MALEs do not get rebate while filing the returns.
